My teaching philosophy takes a student-centered approach that guides students to acquire knowledge and skills that will help them in their respective careers and encourage students to reflect on existing systems of oppression and critically analyze ways to break the cycle of oppression in various public health systems. I organize my classes and advising to meet the needs of a diverse student body. I design my courses to incorporate diverse perspectives, ensuring that the curriculum reflects a broad range of cultural experiences and accommodates different learning styles. To further enhance my pedagogical acumen and advance pedagogical practices, I am researching the values of antiracism pedagogy in public health teaching and learning.
