I’m glad you’re here. I’m a public health educator, researcher, and advocate committed to advancing health equity, policy, and social justice.
My work focuses on understanding and addressing how systems of oppression shape health outcomes and access to well-being, particularly for vulnerable populations. Through mixed-method research, I explore the experiences of Black youth, refugees and immigrants, and individuals living with or at risk for HIV, to inform policies and practices that promote equity.
My research centers around addressing systems change and social justice approaches to target the root causes of issues that influence the wellbeing of populations that are marginalized using qualitative and quantitative research methods
Exploring how refugee youth define and experience well-being in the context of displacement and resettlement.
Investigating the impact of excessive smartphone use on mental health and overall well-being.
Exploring how integrating antiracism principles enhances student learning and supports equitable teaching practices.
